Core Module

VistaTrac automates collecting valuable inventory data, from on-hand, to on-hold, to that in cold storage, and more. It's all done with scanning, whether you already print labels or not.

The Core provides functions that help you manage inventory:

• Withdraw cases and pallets from available inventory (e.g., due to spoilage, leakage, damage, etc.)
• Return withdrawn cases and pallets back to available inventory
• Place inventory On Hold (e.g., during mandated microbiological testing, preventing it from being inadvertently shipped to a customer)
• Release On Hold inventory back to available inventory after it has been released, allowing those cases and pallets to be scanned
• Withdraw On Hold inventory should a quality condition arise
• Transfer inventory between warehouses (for example, if you use outside cold storage for your pallets)
• Cycle Count the on-hand inventory

VistaTrac allows your inventory data to come from a variety of sources:

• the Packing module, used to label your own products
• the Distribution module, used for box-in / box-out
• Scan labels printed by your scale (useful if you already print labels in your plant, but don't scan them!)
• Import your inventory records from another application (such as your scale).

The VistaTrac database is open (ODBC-compliant), so you can write your own reports using tools such as Microsoft Access and Excel, as well as Crystal Reports and other tools.
