Core Module
VistaTrac automates collecting valuable
inventory data, from on-hand, to on-hold, to that in cold storage,
and more. It's all done with scanning, whether you already print labels
or not.
The Core provides functions that help you
manage inventory:
- Withdraw cases and pallets from available
inventory (e.g., due to spoilage, leakage, damage, etc.)
- Return withdrawn cases and pallets back
to available inventory

- Place inventory On Hold (e.g.,
during mandated microbiological testing, preventing it from being
inadvertently
shipped to a customer)
- Release On Hold inventory back to available
inventory after it has been released, allowing those cases and
pallets to be scanned
- Withdraw On Hold inventory should a quality condition
arise
- Transfer inventory between warehouses (for
example, if you use outside cold storage for your pallets)
- Cycle Count the on-hand inventory
VistaTrac allows your inventory data to
come from a variety of sources:
- the Packing module, used to label your
own products
- the Distribution module, used for box-in
/ box-out
- Scan labels printed by your scale (useful
if you already print labels in your plant, but don't scan them!)
- Import your inventory records from another application (such as your
scale).
The VistaTrac database is open (ODBC-compliant),
so you can write your own reports using tools such as Microsoft Access
and
Excel,
as well as
Crystal Reports and other tools.
