Integration Module

Most meat companies already have an accounting package, whether it is home-grown or a standard package like QuickBooks, MAS 90, or Great Plains. Most likely your staff knows how to use whatever features the accounting package offers, and are pretty comfortable with it. It's probably paid for, too.

Other technology companies that provide "traceability" software require you to purchase and use their accounting package. Even though you already have a standard accounting package you know how to use, are mostly happy with, and have already paid for.

Not Schoneman, Inc., and not VistaTrac. We let you keep your existing accounting package, whatever it is. We don't make you buy a special accounting package. We don't make you throw away your investment in your current package. We don't force your staff to learn a new package.

We just integrate with what you're already doing. This means that we can download your product definitions, sales orders and upload shipping weights for invoicing. All without you having to change any office procedures, balance sheets, charts of accounts, or anything.

Now, let's assume that you decide to go with VistaTrac. Great! Three years down the road, you outgrow your existing accounting package and get a new one. Again, great. Because all we have to do is integrate with the new one: none of your plant equipment (scales, scanners, labels, printers, etc.), or procedures have to change.

On the other hand, suppose you make the unfortunate choice to use someone else's traceability software, which forces you to use their accounting package too. Now fast-forward three years, and you've outgrown their accounting package. Not only will you have to find a new accounting package, you'll have to get new traceability system too. Plus all the new hardware for the plant: scanners, scales, label printers, and so on; plus re-train everybody: office AND plant staff in new procedures. What a mess!

We can integrate VistaTrac with anything, even custom ERP/MRP systems written by your in-house staff or a contractor. This gives you the flexibility of having a great traceability and data automation system (VistaTrac!), and having it work with any accounting package you have now, or may get in the future. Talk about protecting and preserving your investment!
